Residents just post a photo of their litter picking on a smartphone, and the activity is recorded automatically. Anyone can use the app (the Pirika litter-picking app) for free.
Participant numbers, litter collected and activity maps for your area are gathered on a dedicated visualization page and shared in real time. People can see who is taking part, and participation grows.
Trends in participants and litter collected become reports. Export them as CSV to back up explanations to councils and residents. Results remain even when staff change.
Residents report illegal dumping and more from the app, with a photo and location. Prefectures and municipalities share progress on one management screen, so nothing is missed.

After launch, Pirika stays with you: operation design, KPI setting, press releases, PR tools and event support.
AI litter survey
Just film the road with a smartphone. AI detects litter and shows littered areas on a map. Use data to set cleanup priorities and show the effect of measures.
Merchandise
We make litter bags, tongs, vests, armbands and more with your logo. Hand them out at events to build a sense of participation.
Town beautification by local people
Citizens, companies and groups are working together. By making cleanups visible, Yokohama's community strength and digital tools are helping keep the city clean. It is also used in environmental learning to raise awareness.
